Gabala · Savalan Valley · Azerbaijan
Wine born at the foot of the Greater Caucasus. A modern winery in the Savalan Valley, where Azerbaijani terroir meets the European school of winemaking.
What this place is
Savalan ASPI Winery grew up in the Savalan Valley of the Gabala district — between two rivers, at the foot of the Greater Caucasus. Here a rare terroir took shape: sun, moisture and soils ideal for the vine.
The winery joins local grapes with European experience: hand-harvesting, modern equipment and ageing in French oak. So are born some of Azerbaijan's best-known wines.

"Good wine begins in the soil — and the Savalan Valley was made for the vine."
On the winemaking of Gabala

The art of ageing
The heart of the winery is its cellar. In the cool silence, in French oak barrels, young wine spends months gaining depth, aroma and character. Here time works for the taste.
About the cellarCome and see
The winery is open to guests: tours of the vineyards and cellar, tastings and a museum of Azerbaijani winemaking — all in one of the most beautiful corners of Gabala.
